1 Bedroom Cottage in Ocracoke

Cozy Cottage, perfect for couples or small families. Short walk away from the inlet and all the shops and restaurants surrounding. This is a 350 sq ft cottage. This beautiful bungalow is completed with a queen size bed, a pull out couch (full), a full bathroom, a large outside shower, tv, internet, kitchenette with large dorm sized refrigerator and freezer, small kitchen sink, and hot plate with pots and pans. Recently renovated because of Hurricane Dorian, we have also added an outside shower to a list of the amenities, and If you are looking to escape and enjoy the freedom from the hustle and bustle of day to day life, this is your perfect island paradise. Don't forget the dogs! Dogs are allowed for a small additional fee.
Please leave the cottage better than you found it! We do not provide linens, towels, or paper products. This is my personal cottage, so please respect it as if it were your grandmothers :). Check in is at 2pm, Check out is 11am. If you have any specific request don’t hesitate to ask, I promise you I’m a friendly fellow. There are golf carts available at the house one is dedicated for guest use. Information on how rent are in the house.

Summary: I stayed for a long weekend with my husband and two dogs. First thing, I have to say, that Russ, the property manager, could not have been nicer and he really saved us when we were having battery issues with our car. He was there immediately with words of encouragement and a battery charger that fixed us right up as well as letting us know where we could go in case we needed a new battery. I can’t overstate how helpful he was! The house is very small obviously, but not bad for two people and two dogs. The bed was comfortable and the deck was a great place to hang out with the dogs. The location is fantastic. Off the beaten path a bit, but close to everything in town. The only negative for us was that it is very difficult to cook anything. They have hot plate, but we couldn’t use it because the cord was too short to reach any of the plugs, and there is really just no space. Luckily we weren’t staying too long, so we could eat out for meals, but I wouldn’t want to stay here longer because we usually like to cook most of our meals to save money. Even just eating there was hard because one of the little tray tables was broken, so you’d have to just eat from your lap. Over all, it’s a cute place and a great location with a wonderful manager, but I wouldn’t recommend it for anyone hoping to cook some of their meals.
