Summary: I was traveling to Monterey with my partner for my birthday weekend. The staff was super friendly and helped get us checked in early so we could unload our car. The hotel is very charming and seemed well maintained throughout. It’s walking distance to a lot of restaurants and shopping. We both thought it was cute. I booked the “honeymoon suite” looking to treat myself, but I was disappointed with the room. - The doorknob is not functional. You must open the door with the key. But the keyhole is only a couple feet from the floor, so I was having to bend down every time I came/went. - The windows do not open. I tried several, but they seemed sealed shut with painting that had been done (it was giving landlord special). - I was expecting a bath tub in the suite. But there was only a standup shower with very weak water pressure. - There was a tv in the living room. Would have been nice to be able to watch something in bed to wind down from the day. There’s a front patio and private deck, which were nice, but we were only there one night and did not take advantage of them. Maybe I didn’t do enough research, but it was also hard to find photos of the actual room on here or the hotel’s website.
