Summary: Great looking building from the outside, with loads of parking. However, not a great experience inside, but the room rate was good so you get what you pay for I suppose. On arrival the receptionist managed to make us feel unwelcome. I remember her from 2 years ago when we visited. Her condescending demeanour has not changed. Having said that the 2 ladies in the morning were very friendly. Corridor leading to the room was only partially lit and quite dark and foreboding. Not impressed with that! The room itself was ok. Faded quality probably best describes it. Really showing its age. Clean and neat. But things like the taps in the bathroom were good to look at but really difficult to operate. Also the TV only had half the listed channels. The curtains were good quality but could not be closed properly. Again, you get what you pay for. The restaurant in the building next door (the only one open) was truly disappointing. Poor food quality, badly cooked. I have not had such a poor meal in years. Add the second rate service from a waiter coughing and sneezing throughout the meal and I would say it’s one of the worst restaurant experience I have had in a very long time. Couldn’t wait to get out of the place. The breakfast was a big improvement on the dinner and whilst nothing special it was a relief to relax and enjoy the breakfast buffet. Overall a big disappointment compared to 2 years ago. Will not return.
