Our cozy cabin features three bedrooms: two with queen-size beds and one with a bunk bed and trundle bed. The open-concept main area includes a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, and living room, with a convertible couch providing an extra sleeping space. Enjoy the convenience of 1.5 bathrooms, including a tub/shower combination, and on-site laundry facilities.
Start your day basking in the morning sun in the fully gated front yard, or unwind in the hammock surrounded by a quiet forest and flower gardens. The backyard boasts a large deck with a barbecue, a charming cast iron stove for fireside relaxation, and comfortable seating to soak in the serene lakefront views. For ultimate relaxation, indulge in our 6-person hot tub, available year-round with panoramic views of the serene lake and spectacular west-facing sunsets. Cool off in our 16-foot by 48-inch above-ground pool during hot summer days, with setup dependent on weather conditions (generally above 10 degrees Celsius overnight).
The backyard seamlessly connects to the waterfront, perfect for watching sunsets, relaxing on the patio, or enjoying non-motorized water sports like kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, or skating and ice hockey in winter. Our dock provides easy access to the water, and the lake is a haven for bird lovers, offering a chance to observe and enjoy the sounds of various species. Bring your own equipment or rent our paddle boards, pedal boat, or one-person kayak. In winter, enjoy a shovelled skating rink with a small fire pit on the ice for some outdoor fun, available at your own risk and weather permitting.
Seasonal access to the boathouse and water equipment is included with all stays of three nights or more, with a rental fee for shorter stays.
While Sandy Lake offers a peaceful and quiet environment, please note that the lake is currently experiencing a drought and is quite shallow, making it unsuitable for swimming or fishing. However, nearby swimming options include Long Island Lake (approximately 1 hour away), Lac St Anne (approximately 25 minutes away), and Wabumun (approximately 30 minutes away).
