Summary: Nutshell version, functional but needs some updates. Only one smoke detector, fine for a small house, but the batteries were low, and it was linked to the alarm system and kept beeping every few hours, which was irritating. I did call the host to see if there's a way to hush the notification, but she never called me back. She was initially very proactive with contact, just not that time for whatever reason. Not sure if she didn't realize I'd called?Only body wash available, no hand soap. Tub plug doesn't work so you can only shower, no baths. Tv is only in the living room but remote batteries are out and there's no spares so you can't use it. There are spare AA's if needed though. 2nd bedroom door sticks and a light shines in from the neighbor's at night. Bed is memory foam, not a fan, but that's just me. Basically some kind of frustrating stuff, but should be easily fixable before rebooking.As for the good stuff, cute house, close to everything, love the backyard for socializing, thoughtful selection of both spices and condiments available. Lots of towels which is great because we spent a lot of time at the beach. Needs some night stands, but there is a desk and the lamp was cute and dimmable. Wifi functional for 2-3 things at once, but not so much for a 4th. No biggie unless you have a ton of kids with you.The little things added up, I think they may have rushed listing it on VRBO a bit, but I think it could be a fun place to stay again with the things listed fixed.
